Creative Full-stack developer

Description of the project

Septentrio GNSS receivers/modules are highly configurable, enabling to tailor their functionality and performance to a wide variety of applications. The command line interface, allowing to set all parameters individually and independently, has been complemented with a web interface to ease configuration and visualization of key information.

As web technology evolves and look-and-feel has greatly improved since our webUI was implemented, we’re looking into modernizing both front-end (UI) and back-end of our embedded interface application.

Your responsibilities

• Design and implement a new web UI for our GNSS product line, not theoretical – paper-only, but – as much as possible – fully-featured and running on target, enabling full configuration and providing to-the-point visual feedback.
• Front-end:
  Interact with our product managers on how the look-and-feel of our interface can be optimized. How do we organize information? What buttons, menus, … do we need? How do we build up the welcome screen? What to display on it? How do we provide access to more detailed info? What visuals do we provide?
  Ensure best practices of frontend architecture are followed.
• Back-end:
  From the latest technological developments and trends, assess pro’s and con’s of back-end frameworks currently available. Based on this assessment, select the best suited framework and connect front-end building blocks to GNSS receiver commands and parameters.
