Regional Sales Manager – Northern Europe

The Job

As Regional Sales Manager – Northern Europe, you are responsible for growing Septentrio’s business across industrial and government markets in one of the company's most strategically important and technically advanced regions. You manage strategic customer accounts while actively developing new business opportunities for Septentrio’s high-precision GNSS and inertial navigation solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth through a combination of direct customer engagement, strategic account management, channel partner management, and business expansion within the UK, Ireland and Nordic markets, working closely with internal teams to drive sustainable revenue growth and long-term customer relationships.

Your Mission

Account Management

  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts through strong relationship management and consultative selling.
  • Understand customer technical and commercial needs and translate them into tailored Septentrio solutions.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing accounts.

Channel & Partner Development

  • Support the development of Septentrio’s manufacturers representative network alongside existing channel partners.
  • Qualify, onboard, and manage representative partners, ensuring regular follow-up and alignment on business goals.
  • Strengthen partner relationships to maximize regional market coverage and revenue potential.

Territory Growth & Business Development

  • Grow revenue and market share across the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities in target markets through proactive prospecting, networking, and market intelligence.
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy for the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries, balancing short-term sales targets with long-term market development.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through disciplined CRM management.

Technical Sales Coordination

  • Coordinate technical support and integration discussions with applications engineers and product experts.
  • Plan and organize customer visits involving product management, R&D, and senior leadership to maximize commercial impact.
  • Ensure internal resources are aligned to support strategic opportunities efficiently.

Market Intelligence & Commercial Ownership

  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify market opportunities and product improvement ideas.
  • Lead commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract alignment with customers and partners.
  • Support the successful progression of opportunities from qualification to closing.

Qualifications

Experience & Background

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

·        5 years of experience

·        Proven success in B2B sales within a technically oriented environment. 

·        Proven success managing complex sales cycles and strategic customer relationships

·        Experience selling positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT), GNSS, inertial navigation, or similar technologies is highly preferred.

·        Background in defense, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, construction, mining, or agriculture markets is a strong advantage.

·        Experience managing channel partners, distributors, or manufacturers’ representatives is highly valued.

Eligibility & Skills

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, develop new business, and close complex deals.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage pipeline health, maintain forecasting accuracy and drive structured sales execution, maintaining a strong CRM discipline.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial functions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize time, opportunities and resources across multiple countries.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages spoken in the Nordics is a bonus, but not a requirement.
  • Preferably based in Belgium, or alternatively based in the UK or one of the Nordic countries near an international airport.
  • Willingness to regularly work from Septentrio’s headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, including customer visits, trade shows across the territory.
